Hi, I’m Ron, I’m an admin on this page. I’m 27 and from St. Louis, MO. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, Atrial Fibrillation, Chronic Migraines, Acute Intermittent Porphyria, and an assortment of other conditions. Due to all this, I’ve had 10 operations since 2014. I’m a former pharmacy technician, unfortunatly due to my health, i'm unable to work. One of my biggest hobbies is photography, particularly nature and landscape photography. With that said, I love being outside, and am working on getting more active. You can tell by my picture, I have two leopard geckos (Izzy and Dory). They're the best and always make me happy! IfI'd have know how much fun they are, I would have gotten them sooner! I’m excited to get to know everyone!

Hi my name is Sarah Wheeler and I created this page in 2014 in order to be able to reach other spoonies like myself. I'm from San Diego, CA (USA) and I'm 30 years old.
I developed chronic pain and autoimmune issues when I was still in High School at only 18 years old. My illnesses greatly shifted the direction of my life from what I had planned or expected. Currently my diagnosis include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia,Neuropathy, Chronic Migraines and combined Trigeminal Neuralgia/ Atypical Facial Pain with suspected CRPS. I also battle some mental illness hardships including Depression and Anxiety among other things but my mental health issues are completely in remission since I started doing charity work.
The main thing I pride myself in is a project/ charity I created called "The Happy Package Project" (you can find the link to learn more about my charity at the bottom of my bio). HPP mails out surprise care packages to kids and adults in the USA with physical and mental illnesses in hopes of cheering them up and encouraging them. When I'm not stuck taking care of my health issues giving back to others helps me get out of myself. I'm very creative and enjoy making jewelry, scrapbooking, amature photography and creative writing.  I also love to do different art projects and crafts with my nieces. My faith in Christ is also a big part of my life. Recently I've been really into make-up; and ultimately my dream is to do freelance make-up for work. I'm also very into music and it really helps me escape! I'm also a huge Taylor Swift fan and got to see her on the 1989 Tour!
Being chronically ill can be really hard and lonely but becoming part of the "spoonie" community on social media and making friends my age who battle illnesses like me has helped me feel a lot less alone. Just because I can't work a regular job doesn't mean my life isn't valuable or worth while. For the most part I stay pretty busy- even if I'm stuck in bed there's things I can do to entertain myself like working on social media for The Happy Package Project. My smart phone helps me stay connected to the world as well as other spoonies. I've learned that keeping my mind occupied is the #1 way to keep my depression at bay.

Aloha! I’m Jennifer, a new admin for this page! I’m from Kaunakakai, on the island of Moloka’i, Hawaii. I became chronically ill about five years ago, and was finally diagnosed with SMAS (Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome), a rare GI disorder, just a few months ago. Moloka’i is so rural and small, I have to fly to Oahu to see my doctors in Honolulu on a monthly basis. I’m an artist, writer and entrepreneur, and I love to help charities and non-profits. My favorite color is rainbow. On my good days, you can find me at the beach, searching for seashells with my dog, Roxy. Aloha to everyone here!!

Hey everyone, I'm Lillian, one of the admins to this lovely page. I was born and raised in the mountains of Hendersonville, North Carolina. I currently live in Saint Joseph, Missouri with my husband who I've been married to for a year. I have been chronically sick since December 14th 2012. I have gastroparesis (I had a surgery to bypass my stomach and make a new one using my esophagus and small intestine in 2014) I have had many complications since then. I also have seizures, anxiety, depression, nerve problems, sciatica, POTS, and arthritis. I work as an in home aide with elderly clients and clients who are in hospice care. My husband is a welder. Feel free to add me or reach out to me anytime.

Hey guys! My name is Shannon and I’m an admin of this page :) I’m 21 and from Los Angeles, CA. Looking back I’ve had health issues my whole life but it didn’t hit full force until after I got my wisdom teeth out in August 2016. At the time I was attending Cal Poly SLO as a bio major but as my health declined I made the decision to move home. It took about a year to even start to figure out what was wrong but we now know I have APS, MCAS, Sjogren’s, POTS, IST, GERD, and Raynaud’s. I’m currently attending ASU through their online degree program as a Health Care Coordination major and I nanny part time. In my free time I love to travel, stay as active as my health lets me, draw, baking, do calligraphy, and read.

Howdy! I'm Rachel, a new Admin on this page. Im 24 years old (I know I look 12, you can blame it on Growth Hormone Deficiency) and I live in the great state of Texas! I have been Chronically ill since I was 3 years old. Though my main issues didn't start until 2015. I have Epilepsy, Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Atrial Tachycardia (arrhythmia), Anxiety, Depression, PTSD (from medical trauma) and a rare disease called Panhypopituitarism (multiple hormone deficiencies). I was born with only half a pituitary gland, so that complicates things. Despite all these things, I do my best to live a normal life. Well as normal as a chronically ill person can get. I'm in college pursuing a degree in education. My dream is to be a Kindergarten teacher. I work a few days a week at an amazing nonprofit choir organization. It gives my life a lot of meaning. My hobbies are singing, playing the Ukulele/Guitar/Piano, watching movies at the theater, and reading books (specifically about Vincent Van Gogh) and making chronic illness memes. My 2 cats are my life. Without them, I don't know how I'd get through the hard times. I look forward to this new journey as an admin for this chronic illness page and getting to know everyone!

Hey ya’ll! I am one of the new admins for this page. I am 20 and I’m from Tomball, Texas but am currently living in Wichita Falls, Texas for school. I have Occipital Neuralgia, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Chronic Migraines, Raynaunds and some funky autoimmune stuff going on. I am currently a student at MSU and a pharmacy technician at a retail pharmacy. It is definitely hard being a student while chronically ill and even harder having a part time job on top of it but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have a little fur baby named Allie that has seizures and pulmonary hypertension and my roommate, Ashton, has all the same health problems as me. Needless to say, our apartment is always full of medical excitement. I can’t wait to get to know ya’ll.
